The Northam LifeLighter Aged Care Games provided aged care residents an escape from everyday life, participating in a rage of team games at the Northam Recreation Centre on March 1.
Held by SRCWA, organisers said the day was a great success with eight teams coming together from Dowerin, Brookton, York & Northam.
Before the official opening WA state President Mr Hugh Rogers introduced Caitlin Morris who performed a solo rendition of the National Anthem.
Cr. Chris Antonio, President Shire of Northam opened the games.
Entertainment before the start and during the lunch break was provided by Jim Drysdale and Jenny Cole, who led the participants in a sing-a-long and everyone enjoyed their performance.
Phil Paddon, MC for the day explained the games rules to the volunteers and then called the teams to the playing area and encouraged everyone to have a good time.
Congratulation to all the participants for coming and having a go, a big thank you to Karen Ducat and to the volunteers from the SRC Avon Branch, Earth Solutions and SRCWA State Office who helped make the day a great success.
