A Northam man has been fined $600 after he left a hole in a wall he punched inside the Northam branch of the National Australia Bank (NAB).
Allan Joshua Jones confronted a teller inside the Fitzgerald Street bank after an ATM outside the branch took his card in July last year.
In an outburst of anger Jones punched a wall inside the bank resulting in a hole.
Jones represented himself at Northam Magistrates Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
Magistrate Jennifer Hawkins said Jones’ behaviour was highly inappropriate.
“This is not your first time in court, Mr Jones,” Magistrate Hawkins said.
“You’ve been in the court for nuisance-style behaviours recently.
“Perhaps you have anger management problems.
“Bank tellers have enough to put up with, let alone with this on top of it all.”
Jones was handed a $600 fine.
