St Joseph’s School has a star in the making and now he’s got the funding to help him realise his dreams.
Year 11 student, Bailey Valentine, is the new face of the 2018 Youth Focus Community Grant Program, the annual scholarship program run by Bendigo Bank.
Bendigo Bank have committed $5,000 in support of Mr Valentine who is a talented actor and committed community volunteer.
Mr Valentine’s dream is to attend the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). He would also like to study sound production which includes music recordings and special effects.
Mr Valentine attends Theatre Group where he has held leading roles in Holka Polka, Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast. As part of the group, he also performs at numerous charity events throughout Toodyay and Northam.
“To give that gift of encouragement to our young people by way of this scholarship is easily one of the most rewarding aspects of our job,” said centre manager Ms Kirsten Barrack.
