Redevelopment of the Yongah Hill Detention Centre will be commencing in January and ADCO Constructions is reaching out for local trades to expression their interest to help with the works.
The redevelopment is approximately a $20 million project and ADCO are keen to utilise local trades as much as possible.
The redevelopment will provide a 120 bed facility for the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, support buildings, recreation facilities, infrastructure and security.
ADCO Constructions are looking for expressions of interest from local trades.
The timeline and trades are as follows:
January 2018: demolition, bulk earth works, site works, electrical services, security services.
February 2018: fencing, hydraulic services.
March 2018: piling, waterproofing, concrete works, structural steel work, metalwork.
April 2018: ceilings and partitions, carpet and vinyl flooring, outdoor furniture, sports equipment, shade sails, roofing.
May 2018: white goods, painting, landscaping, plastering and rendering,masonry.
