THE annual John Murphy mixed pairs (sponsored by John’s wife Lynn) was held at the Northam Bowling Club on the night of Tuesday, January 9.
A very pleasing crowd of 40 club members took part.
Winners on the night were J. Deblecourt and J. Park; runners-up were A. Clarke and J. Brockman.
Club championship mixed pairs has been held over two Tuesday nights on January 16 and 23.
This event is sponsored by Colin and Margaret Higgs and has been for many years now.
The results will be published in next week’s Avon Advocate.
Ladies pennants will be starting again after the Christmas break on Tuesday, January 30.
Both Northam teams will be playing at home.

Wednesday, January 31 is ladies electric night two bowls singles.
Anyone wanting to play, please put your names down at the club.
Bingo started again last Thursday with a large crowd turning up to play.
This is on at the club every Thursday night and everyone is welcome to come along.
A reminder to all businesses and groups that corporate bowls starts again on Tuesday, February 6 and runs for six weeks.
