Police have charged a 71-year-old man from the Wheatbelt District following the Royal Commission into institutional responses to child sexual offences.
In 1979 it is alleged the man indecently assaulted a boy who was 13 at the time of the first two offences.
It is further alleged that the man indecently assaulted the boy when he was 14.
The alleged incidents occurred whilst the man was a teacher at a Catholic School in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Between 1986 and 1987 it is further alleged the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 13 at the time of the first offence.
The alleged incidents occurred whilst the man was a teacher at a second Catholic College in Perth’s northern suburbs.
Both of the incidents occurred at each school and during a school camp.
The man has been charged with four counts of aggravated indecent assault, three counts of indecent dealing of a child under 14 years, one count of unlawfully and indecently assaulted a male.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 17 January.
