WA College of Agriculture Cunderdin was again among the top schools in the state in the number and overall percentage of its year 12 students to qualify for the West Australian Certificate of Education in 2017.
In data published by School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), Cunderdin had 64 students eligibke for the WACE and 95.3 per cent qualified.
Their results come out on top when compared to the other agricultural colleges in WA.
The College of Agriculture Denmark which had 44 students eligible and 88.6 per cent who qualified and 83 per cent in Harvey.
Narrogin college had 78.8 per cent of eligible students achieve the WACE requirements.
Morawa has no students eligible.
WACE is awarded to year 12 students who have completed two years of senior secondary study.
It shows that a student has successfully met the required standard of literacy and numeracy standards.
The WACE certificate allows students to future their studies at universities, TAFE’s and other industry providers.
Cunderdin’s stand out results from 2017 follow on from their high results for the previous year that also saw the school among the top performing schools.
In 2016 the Cunderdin college came out ahead of the four other colleges of agriculture with 93.8% of its 64 eligible students qualifying for the certificate.
The WA College of Agriculture Cunderdin offers courses in plant production systems, animal production systems, physical education studies, engineering and general construction.
