In the past year we've reported on some pretty downright dumb driving from WA drivers, and heard some pretty lame excuses too.
From the woman who ran a red light because she was in a hurry to feed her kids some Nandos, to the bloke who claimed he was speeding because the "wind was pushing him."
Another driver was caught speeding earlier this month because they were about to miss their dog's pedicure appointment.
There have been a few shockers that's for sure.
But we reckon this latest case has to be one of the worst for the year, not to mention dangerous.
Northam police pulled the 61-year-old driver over on Thursday in Wundowie for strapping several tyres to the bonnet of his Toyota Landcruiser.
According to a tweet posted by Northam police, the driver was on his way to the local tip.
Northam Police Station Senior Sergeant Geoff Dickson said the driver told police he was doing a "civic duty" for the community be cleaning up the local area.
Sen-Sgt Dickson said the incident had already drawn a huge reaction from locals on social media.
"If you have a look at some of the social media commentary, everyone is just going 'what the'," Sen-Sgt Dickson said.
"He'd been taking tyres abandoned around the Wundowie area and in fact in the back of his car he had tyres and other rubbish.
"We are considering our position in terms of charges.
"Sometimes not everyone is paying attention and if you are struggling with your own attention because you've obstructed your vision and you can't see out of your windscreen, let alone any of those tyres falling off, rolling and smashing into someone, the consequences could be catastrophic.
"People need to have a bit of a think about some of the decisions they make in this space."
