A local woman has slowly seen the benefits that her dance program has brought to her attendees over the past three years.
Northam Linedancers teacher Fred Dymnicki holds a monthly dance class at Killara for individuals with a disability.
She said the attendees loved the modified version of line dancing that was taught.
“They really enjoy the music and moving,” she said.
“They see me down the street and high-five me!”
Ms Dymnicki said the class was good for the participants social well-being and balance.
She said the class, usually consisting of about 20 people, prefered to dance to lively music.
Northam Shire Killara manager Nicole Hampton said the Count Me In Group ran every Wednesday.
She said the monthly class held by Fred Dymnicki was great for Killara clients to be able to learn new skills.
“The clients and Killara staff absolutely love having the team here and feel empowered to be able to participate in such an event,” Ms Hampton said.
