Former Federals Football Club player Shaun Smith recently his first league match for the Perth Football Club .
The Northam farmer has been playing for the Perth reserves for the past year and had his league debut on July 8.
Federals Football Club league coach Alistair Smith presented the league jumper to his old teammate.
The 22-year-old had been with the Federals for around five years, since he came out of juniors.
Smith said he wanted to progress in the sport and ‘give it a shot in Perth’.
Federals Football president Phil Robinson said Smith is a very good and promising young player.
“He has worked extremely hard to get where he is,” said Robinson.
“At the start of this season he decided to have a go at WAFL.
“He has been travelling down to training sessions through the year.”
The talented player awarded Fairest and Best last year for the Federals Football Club.
