The Shire of Goomalling will receive $44,567 from the latest round of Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities fund.
The money will go towards irrigation and re-turfing.
The Shire is one of 28 projects to receive funding.
Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray said small projects can make a huge difference to local sport and active recreation clubs.
“Quality facilities are also what will help attract new members and retain those who have been with the club for a longer time, encouraging participation from both sides,” he said.
“Funding for these projects allow clubs and local government to carry-out smaller projects which they might not otherwise have been able to do.
“When more people become part of a club, more people are being active and connecting to their local communities.
“In the regions this is especially important as sporting and active recreation clubs are often the hearts of small towns, so we want them to be healthy.”
There are two Small Grants rounds a year.
The next round opens on July 1, 2017 and closes on August 31.
