Avon Bridge on time for July finish
Main Roads and its contractor SRG are currently on track to complete improvements to the Avon Bridge on Newcastle Road in Northam by the end of July 2017.
Works under the bridge are complete including driving 25 new piles.
The concrete deck is currently being demolished and is expected to take four weeks to replace. Guardrails, footpaths and streetlights will be completed next.
The refurbished bridge will have wider traffic lanes, a wider footpath and the bridge will be strengthened by the additional piles.
