Last Saturday saw the annual general meeting and presentation of the Northam and Districts Little Athletics Centre. The outstanding success of the club continues and was represented by all committee positions being filled for the following season, with Brett Willmott continuing on as president for a fourth term.
The season ended with 2915 personal best’s being achieved by all athletes which equates to an average of 25 personal best’s being achieved by each athlete. Twelve individual records were broken for the season. We had 146 registered athletes travelling weekly from as far afield as Kellerberrin, Beverley, York, Cunderdin, Toodyay and Lower Chittering.
Felicity Oliver (Under 9 girls) received champion girl for the second season in a row while Cody Stanfield (Under 12 boys) received champion boy. These awards were presented by life member, Clinton Richter.

The Glen Avon Shield, kindly donated each year by John and Jeanette Masters from Glenavon Farm, was won by Green Arrows for the 10th consecutive year.
Most personal best’s in the junior section (Under 6’s – Under 10’s) for boys was awarded to Max Smith and for girls, Heather Brayshaw. In the Senior section (Under 11’s – Under 17’s) the boys award went to Bailey Wilson and the girls award went to Alexandra Tita. These medals were generously donated and sponsored by Bruce and Kathy Deveraux from Cadd’s Fashions, Surf and Sport.

A big thank you to the Shire of Northam for the generous provision of a community grant which meant the club could buy much needed high jump equipment to cater for our ever growing numbers.
