ON December 11 the Wundowie Primary School held its concert and prize-giving awards evening which was well attended by staff, pupils, family and friends.
Mia Davies MLC, parents, staff and students and thanked them for attending the end-of-year concert.
A singing performance all about the dinosaurs was given by the years 1/2/3, while years 4/5 students sang about ‘decking the halls with boughs of holly’ and the years 6/7 classes did a ‘rocking’ medley of Christmas tunes which they all boogied to.
During the concert awards were given to some very deserving pupils in the form of a book as well as beautiful certificates.
A very special award was the Northam Lions’ Wundowie Staff Award which was presented by Mia Davies to student Seth Edbrooke and by the cheering of all the students this was a very popular and deserving choice.
Seth seemed overwhelmed by the beautiful medallion that Ms Davies slipped around his neck and by the three books that were chosen as his prize.
This award is made available every year by the Lions’ Club and the children all work very hard to be the recipients of it, especially the sought after medallion.
A good time was had by all and now the children are counting off the few days left at school, and then how many sleeps they have until it is Christmas.
