What happens in a men's shed could be a mystery to some, but you might be surprised just how good sharing a project and a cuppa in a shed can make you feel.
Northam Men's Shed is tucked away behind the Old Fire Station in Duke Street, next to the Link Theatre, and has been a hive of industry for over ten years.
Recently the membership voted unanimously to change the name of the Shed to Northam Community Men's Shed Inc. at the same time as updating the constitution in line with the Associations Act.
With new members arriving regularly and new partnerships forming, things are happening.
Nine members will shortly undertake welding training at Northam TAFE, ongoing Men's Health activities and a session on bowel and bladder health open to the whole community coming up on July 26.
The Shed continues to carry out activities for the community, the picture shows members with their handiwork at Northam Harness Racing Club.
