Students in the Year7/8 English class at Wyalkatchem District High School recently received commendation from Lego for the advertisements they created for the toy.
Students analysed a range of advertisements and used the techniques they knew worked to create advertisements for Lego.
They decided to seek some feedback from Lego, and after corresponding with their head office in Sydney, they posted copies of the student work.
Lego replied with a letter from their regional office in Singapore, commending the students for their excellent work, forwarding their ideas to the marketing department.
Lego even sent the students a small gift as a token of their appreciation, which the students very much enjoyed putting together.
It was an amazing experience for the students to be able to use their skills and ideas in a real world situation, and to communicate with a company in a way that boosts their confidence.
