The Northam Clontarf Academy Awards night celebrated the achievements of high-performing students during the year as well as congratulating the two students that completed Year 12.
Cale Moody and Jermaine Davis were both recognised for their achievement of completing high school at the ceremony on Wednesday, November 15.
Cale also received the Principal’s Award and Jermaine was given the Community Achievement Award. After the ceremony, Jermaine said it was a relief to be finished schoo.
“I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders to finish Year 12,” he said. “It was a lot of hard work, but it was worth it.”
Cale said he had a great experience with the Clontarf Academy. “I met a lot of people and made a lot of friends,” he said. “Friends became brothers – it was wicked.”
Jermaine added, “School has been good but Clontarf just added the cherry on top.”
“You go to school to work hard but you get the bonuses that Clontarf gives like the trips and that just makes the boys want to go to school and work even harder – so that has helped both of us over the past five years.”
The Northam boys said they are now working towards gaining a cadetship with the Northam Police.
