An elderly Northam resident has expressed his concern with hooning on Stirling Street.
The man, who did not want to be named, said he feels helpless and does not know what to do about the noise, which occurs mostly at night. He said his elderly neighbours had similar concerns.
Sergeant Geoff Dickson said police are aware of a report of a vehicle driving inappropriately in the vicinity of the street.
“Local police are conducting patrols of the area and will prosecute offenders as detected,” Sgt Dickson said.
“The public is encouraged to report hoon behaviour by coming to the police station direct, or, they can access the WA Police Force website via the attached link to fill in a Traffic Complaint Report.”
Sgt Dickson said witnesses to hoon behaviour must be prepared to go to court as police cannot witness all hoon driving incidents.
