The 2017 Northam Agricultural Show has been deemed a resounding success.
Numbers of public through the gates was fantastic and with the superb weather on Friday night and Saturday, the vibe around the grounds was upbeat and a happy family time with no troubles.
The committee of volunteers that put this event on for the public would like to thank our sponsors for the show, without their kind support we would not be able to provide the variety of entertainment and atmosphere.
There are many donors of trophies and even food to feed the volunteers, too many to list but we are grateful for your kindness and ongoing assistance.
The Exhibition Pavilion was filled with a great variety of displays from school and community groups who embraced the water theme.
Congratulations to Northam Primary School for being awarded Best Display. The sections in the Pavilion were all very well received and in general, entry numbers were up on last year.
Congratulations to Ms Christine Watson who was awarded Most Points Received in the Pavilion. Also, congratulations to Cameron Fernihough for receiving Most Points in the Junior Section of the Pavilion.
Special mention must also go to Ms Vicki O’Neill for winning Show Cake slass and to Sonny Rutherford for the Feature Photo class.
The committee are already making plans for the 2018 show which will be bigger and better with the ongoing support of our sponsors and volunteers.
