THE Bakers Hill Netball Club celebrated a great 2017 season at the Bakers Hill Recreation Centre last Saturday.
Growing to seven teams in the Northam Netball Association competition, Bakers Hill had three of their teams compete in finals, with the Bakers Banshees making it through to the Junior 1 Division grand final.
Unfortunately the win was not to be this time, but it was a hard-fought game which the club is extremely proud of. It was great to see players of all ages out on the court for some fun scratch matches.
The day was rounded out with the presentation of most valuable player, and the coaches and most improved awards to recipients.
Achievements of the club were highlighted and the committee thanked all who assisted in fundraising activities throughout the year to support the club.
The Bakers Hill community has been greatly supportive of the club and a heartfelt thanks was given with acknowledgement to its amazing sponsors, Wundowie IGA Xpress, BGC Quarries, Bakers Hill Hay Direct, Bakers Hill Tavern, Bakers Hill Rural Supplies and Hardware, Bakers Hill Pie Shop and Mr and Mrs Ashman.
Everyone will get to take a quick breather before preparations for the 2018 season begin.
