Council votes to waive swimming pool fees
On Wednesday, the Northam Shire Council voted 8-0 to waive Northam Swimming Pool fees on the first day the pool is set to open this year and for Australia Day next year.
Cr Des Hughes moved the recommendation and Cr John Proud seconded the decision.
In January, the Shire of Northam had free entry to its aquatic facilities as part of its Australia Day celebrations.
The pool is scheduled to open this season on October 28.
