The Inner Wheel Club of Avon recently held their annual Changeover Dinner Meeting at the Riverside Hotel.
The club is made up of like-minded women who meet once a month to foster friendships, have fun and fundraise.
At the meeting, president Debbie Hughes welcomed members, partners and guests, before asking member Eileen Hooper to light the friendship candle.
A very special Certificate of Appreciation, for 30 years of service to the club was presented to Mary Hannagan.
Heather Hall then asked all members to stand and raise a glass and toast the husbands and partners.
Des Hughes responded by thanking the members for their toast and commenting that behind every good woman, there was a good man.
President Debbie Hughes gave her president's report, detailing the events the club held over the past 12 months.
Special guests over the past year have included Dr Marie Fox, artist Rennie Langham, astronomer Phil Beddingfield from Dark Skies, Dr Dapo, RSL secretary Donna Prytulak and author Linda Bettenay.
Debbie then proceeded to present badges and gifts to her outgoing committee who have served the past 12 months before passing over the president’s collar, badge and flowers to incoming president Peta Newbound.
President Peta then introduced her new Committee for 2017-2018 and presented them all with a gift.
