The National Ballooning Championships together with Triple M and Australian Post, will be raising money for fundraiser Give me Five For Kids at this year’s championship in Northam.
The funds raised will be donated to the Princess Margaret Hospital Regional assistance fund.
Envelopes with a special stamp will be flown by pilots in the competition, known as a ‘flown cover’ in stamp collector terms.
The envelope will be covered in illustrations by local artist Rennie Langham.
Following the event, the pilot will sign the stamp to prove it has flown.

She said the stamps are highly sought after following he event.
“It is a collectors item and they are very valuable for philatelists (stamp collectors),” she said.
The envelopes will be on sale at the Northam Post Office following the event.
Pre-orders are also being taken.
