The St Joseph's soup kitchen opened its doors to Northam people in need three weeks ago.
Members of the church volunteer their time every Monday from 5-7pm during winter.
Father George James said the initiative started last year.
“We thought it would be good for the community,” he said.
“We had been giving food parcels through the week and thought this was something else we could do.
“It was very successful last year so we have started it again this year.”
He said 10-20 people on average attend and enjoy the hot dinner.
Woolworths supply vegetables, Hot Bread donate and provide concession prices and Fresh Start volunteers will regularly set up and wash up dishes.
The soup kitchen runs every Monday night from 5-7pm till the end of winter.
