Balladong musician Steady aka Judd Stead is receiving nationwide support of his music following his win on Triple J Unearthed.

Judd, who makes music from his bedroom, has since teamed up with Groote Eylandt Northern Territory girl Emily Wamiiri to write a song for reconciliation week.

A Triple J spokesperson said the result is a unifying anthem.

“Emily’s warm vocal sailing over Steady’s earthy, piano-laced beat.

“The whole track is grounded by the powerful lyrics ‘The river is the river / the sea is the sea / can we join together?’”

The 22-year-old said he does not have anything planned for the future but is happy people are enjoying his music and the positive response he has received.
