Lifelong Northam friends win $1.3 million Lotto prize
Three lifelong friends from Northam have shared in last weekend's Saturday Lotto $1.3 million division one prize.
The women, aged in their 50s, have been purchasing a Lotto ticket together from Northam Central Newsagency for the last five years.
One of the women recalled how she was washing the dishes when she received the frantic call from her friend.
"She demanded I sit down and shut up before exclaiming that we'd won the lottery," she said.
"I wish I had of listened because I kept doing the dishes and dropped my phone in the sink out of shock."
The winning ticket is the 27th division one ticket sold in Western Australia in 2017.
