The bowling club said farewell to the 2016-2017 season on Sunday May 7 by having a game, celebrating with life members and handing out awards to season winners.
Northam Bowling club life members, Leo Morgan, Ron Pitts, Joyce McPherson, Elaine Higgs and Thelma Glass were in attendance to enjoy the day.
The day commenced with bowls in the morning, followed by a luncheon and then finishing with the presentation of the seasons Club Championship Awards for members.
Northam Bowling Club Ladies and Men's player of the year awards went to Jenny Parker and Ron Pitts.
Bowls WA Women's Country Week was held from March 20-25 at various venues around Perth.
Events held over the course of the week included Fours, Pairs and Singles competitions.
This year Northam resident Jenny Parker was successful in taking out the Country Week Singles Championship.
It has been 53 years since a Northam Bowling Club Member has won this event.
This also resulted in the Northam Bowling Club being named the Champion Club for the most outstanding club performance during Ladies Country Week.
