LAST Saturday 19 players were out in near perfect conditions to contest the Mauri ANZ trophy, a stableford event.
Like our sponsor, to separate the wheat from the chaff, the leaders would need to grind away and rise when the heat was applied.
The toast of the day was Mike O’Shea who came in with the best score of 41 points. Runner-up with a good score of 39 points was Rob Lucy.
Third place needed to be decided from a bunch of players including Rob Pearson, Ron Pitts, Roger Podmore, and Andrew Quin. A countback decided third place going to Ron Pitts.
