Northam has welcomed a new farmers’ market Manager following Karla Hooper’s move to Perth.
Shari Spatcher has filled the shoes and has already managed two markets.
With a background in insurance and law, the mother of two – with one on the way – is looking forward to the new challenges of the position.
“We love when people come down and get involved in the morning,” she said.
Shari said she would like to invite store new store holders to sell “handmade items, like crafts and soaps”.
“If you have made it – it is welcome,” she said.
Shari said children from local schools have been playing music at the market.
“Buskers are welcome to come and play and we want to give community groups the opportunity to fundraise.”

Shari said she has received good feedback so far and wants the community to enjoy the market fortnightly – and the local Northam businesses. The market runs every second and fourth Saturday of the month.
