The renovations happening at Northam Police Station are well underway.
The back carpark is nearly finished and this week construction will commence on the front part of the building and counter.
The front carparks will go, so visitors to the police station are being encouraged to park across the road or on Wellington Street.
Northam Police Station senior sergeant Geoff Dickson said a temporary front counter will be used for around six weeks.
This will be accessible from the front face of the police station. There will be clear signage directing visitors to the new entrance.
Senior sergeant Dickson has asked people to be patient with the renovations and parking changes in this temporary period.
The construction is part of the huge transformation happening at the station, costing around $3.198 million dollars in total. The estimated completion date of the project is June, 2017.
