The top five placegetters in the junior cattle judging competition at the Wagin Woolorama. A team from the WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin, finished first in the Bryan Sherlock Memorial Trophy for the best agricultural college team in the Merino junior judging competition.  The team which included Georgia Dawes, Sonny King and Jake Garlick were congratulated by Stud Merino Breeders Association of WA president Steven Bolt, who presented the trophy. The fourth member of the team was Charlie Bulleid.

The novice section of the junior wool judging attracted plenty of entries and the winners included fifth-placed Shane Metcalf (left), WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin, winner Alex Linto, WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin and third-placed Josephine Harris, WA College of Agriculture, Harvey. With them is over-judge Matt Chambers, Landmark Wool. Second in the competition went to Danny Halling and fourth to Shanie Morey, both from the WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin.

The open section of the Merino junior judging was won by Laura Bennett (left), Esperance. With her were placegetters Sam Howie (second), Corrigin, Stuart Richardson (third), Kojonup, Shelby Garnett (fourth), Gnowangerup and Kaiden Johnston (fifth), Quairading, who were all congratulated by Stud Merino Breeders Association of WA president Steven Bolt, who presented the awards.

Clearing sale: Enjoying the day were Dennis (left) and Kathy Saunders, Southern Brook, Judy Swann, Bakers Hill and Tammy Wooding, Bakers Hill.

Steve Subotic (left), Rockingham, Jeff Bull, York, Peter Valle, Mandogalup and Robin Brown, Jandakot, were hunting for bargains at last week's sale.
