Heated play for Doubles Day

THE Northam Lawn Tennis Club held its men’s and ladies Doubles Day last Sunday. On a sunny day the tennis was hotly contested with a number of games decided in a tie -breaker. Thank you to Daniel for organising the draw and sponsors Specialised Tree Services and Elders. Ladies winners: Cathy North/Julie Smith; 2nd: Bev Young/Noelene Norrish. Men’s: Kevin Smith/Josh McNair; 2nd: Luke Edmonds/Callum Norrish. Office bearers were elected at the AGM: president Julie Smith, secretary Di Dwyer, treasurer Kevin Smith, social captain Reuben Thompson, co-captain Dennis Saunders, pennant captain Cathy North, junior coordinator Lyn Tagliaferri, and committee John Dwyer, Geoff Dickson and Daniel Vernede.
