A Northam man who was charged with possessing two oblong turtles, was fined $600 and ordered to pay $188 costs, when he appeared in Northam Magistrates Court on Monday October 24, 2016.
Martin Toa-Toa Whippey, 39, was charged when the turtles were found during a police search of his Northam home in November, 2015.
Magistrate Paul Roth said, “If you take protected fauna, you will be dealt with accordingly.”
