Although the Rangers lead all day the Flames narrowed the margin in the second half of the match. However, Rangers were too strong and the end result was a 20-goal win.
Tables were turned in the Reserves match, full court pressure by the Flames mixed with the magic hands of mid-courter and 150 game player Melva Yarran saw the Flames run out winners 62 – 50.
A highlight for the day was West Coast Fever’s Shae Brown (Flames) and Erena Mikaere (Rangers) back on court for their respective league sides. This was Shae’s second game for the Flames this season. In nail-biting match the Rangers won 47-46.
