A NORTHAM man was one one of three who died in a fatal car crash in Mumbellup, near Donnybrook, on Monday.
Kyal Peter Hiron, 37, from Northam and William Craig Dean, 35, from Clarkson were passengers in a car driven by Mahdi Arjomand, 30, from Joondalup when it crashed near the intersection of Donnybrook-Boyup Brook Road and Hearle Road at about 8.45am on Monday morning.
The RAC rescue helicopter was sent to the crash about 9am, but was stood down a short time later after the fatalities were confirmed.
Investigations are continuing into the deaths after items consistent with manufacturing drugs were uncovered in the wreckage.
Major Crash investigators and the forensic team were at a Collie tow yard today examining the car which was involved in the crash, a VW Pessat.
Police spokesman Gerry Cassidy said there was no evidence why the crash occurred and looked as if it happened “for no apparent reason”.
Police are also investigating why two bodies were found in the car and one body was located five metres away.
Major Crash and the Organised Crime Squad worked late last night examining the scene.
Sergeant Cassidy said police were also investigating if the equipment found was from a clandestine drug lab.
Police urge anyone who saw the crash, or has information regarding it to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00.
