SYDNEY Stack and Ian 'Bobby' Hill, first cousins, recently returned from playing in the Under 16's State football team.
The boys played games in South Australia and the Gold Coast on June 27 and July 1 respectively.
Both boys grew up playing for Barons in Northam at seven years of age.
Talent scouts were present at all games, with the opportunity afforded to the young men driving their AFL dream.
"The AFL Commission said we both looked so good they called us live-wires," Sydney said.
"We were competing against each other for goals."
Ian Hill was awarded the most valuable player for the WA team, showing he has a bright future ahead of him.
The cousins were selected in a summer program last November, and had been training hard twice a week.
"I learned that there's always competition in what you do," Sydney said.
