ACTION is returning to the Avon Valley Speedway this summer, with a full season of racing planned for the dirt oval track.
Headlining the track’s schedule are the awesome V8 Non Wing Sprint Cars, which for the first time in Australia will be racing on September 17.
The V8 Non Wing Sprints are loud, exciting and produce spectacular racing in the United States of America.
V8 Non Wing Sprintcars are affiliated with one of the sport’s biggest sanction bodies USAC, who in the past have sanctioned the Indy 500 and recently those crazy stadium super trucks seen at V8 Supercar rounds.
One of the great benefits of this partnership is the ability for the racing to be filmed and shown overseas through Loudpedal.tv motorsport streaming device.
These events are then shown to thousands of overseas viewers who subscribe to the service. This season every V8 Non Wing Sprint event at Avon Valley Speedway will be filmed, with several plans already to include information on the region and tourist attractions.
Speaking to promotions manager Jason Bloxsidge, he said this is the first time an Australian speedway class has been showcased to the world.
“And from speaking to some overseas viewers, they are really keen to visit our unique part of the world,” he said.

“Huge thanks must go to Loud Pedal Productions and we look forward to working with the local tourism body to showcase the region.”
However the big news doesn’t end there, with the venue recently announcing several big shows.
The biggest event will be the USA v WA test match, which will see three overseas racing legends visit Australia for the first time to compete against the best locals for bragging rights.
This special Sunday event will also pay homage to the late Michael Figlomeni, a true legend of the sport, with a 34 lap main event.
Another big show announced is the first ever WA Classic Speedway Festival, featuring a static display and on track demonstration plus modern speedway cars.
The complex is also looking to work with Roadwise to promote road safety, a major issue in the Wheatbelt region.
Future motorsports planned include autocross, off-road buggies, burnouts and driver training.
