THE Australian Border Force are searching for a detainee from Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre after a Vietnamese overstayer fled during a day trip to Gosnells two weeks ago.
The man had been visiting a Buddhist temple in the area with a group of other detainees.
During the stay, the man asked to use the toilet and did not return.
During the initial search, Serco guards were unable to locate the man.
A review of the escape is underway.
