THE Northam Workers Club hosted the New Avon Ladies 2016 Doubles Championship on the afternoon of May 14, and many top darts were thrown including a highest peg of 99 by Pam Prater, and a 60 peg each from Caroline Boyce and Kayleigh Pickett.
The highest score of the day was 140 thrown by Kayleigh.
Nine pairs played off in the two life system and after a great afternoon of darts, the winners were Pam Prater and Maxine Cook, with the runners up being Nancy Davis and Kayleigh Pickett.
Congratulations to the winners and runner’s up and for all the rest … better luck next year.
A big thank you must go to the Northam Workers Club for their continued support of N.A.L.D.A and for providing the great refreshments throughout the afternoon. Thank you also to Joan Priest and her wonderful organisation skills that kept the afternoon running smoothly, and to all members and friends who came along and helped with the scoring and contributed in any way at all.
It was a great afternoon of darts with pleasing results all around.

LISA Williams played excellent darts to attain a hat trick with highest average, highest peg and highest score for her Wild Women (1) on May 9.
Sabrina Bennell also scored a hat trick for the Thunder team and newcomer Lana Mears achieved a 34 peg in her first dart game ever. Well done ladies.
