WHITE swan faith, who mysteriously disappeared off the Avon River, has been found.
Shire of Northam Executive Manager Development Services Chadd Hunt said she was found on the evening of September 15 further up river, near the Poole Street Bridge.
"A local person who was walking noticed Faith and reported her to us," Mr Hunt said.
"She looks fit and healthy."
Mr Hunt said the story and photo about Faith's disappearance in The Avon Valley Advocate was the catalyst for the discovery.
"There is more feed such as river grass upstream, so that may be why she may have been there," Mr Hunt said.
"We will leave her in that area."
Faith is the product of a breeding program taking place with Melbourne Zoo to bring back the Avon River's swan numbers.
