ON JUNE 7, we travelled from Cunderdin to Henry Street Oval to watch the football v Federals.
When parking near the scoreboard, we were suprised to see this state of the art mesh fence surrounding the oval.
In our sedan, it was impossible to see over the fence and even sitting in chairs we viewed the game through the mesh.
One family decided to heave their gear – chairs, rugs, refreshments, umbrellas and two kids over the fence but then the lasy had to walk some 50-60 metres to the gap in the fence.
Bar stools would have been one solution but who carries these in their car boot?
Surely a fence half the height would have been sufficient.
Next time we’ll take the farm ute to watch the game over and not through the mesh.
