THE Northam Junior Cricket Association concluded its season on March 14, with Northam Senior High School beating Toodyay for the under 16s premiership.
In the under 13s St Josephs Primary won the premiership against Northam Primary School.
The finals were held in great spirit despite venue relocations due to wet weather.
In the under 16s grand final Toodyay batted first at Northam and with a fight back from the tail made 73 runs all out in a rain-reduced 24 over fixture.
Northam lost a couple of early wickets but a match winning partnership by Declan and Louis Page turned the game around to win by six wickets.

Under 16s Premiers 2014-15: Northam Senior High School’s Ethan Moody, Jermaine Davis Jnr, Brett Turnbull, Declan Page (c), Dan Negus (coach), Braden West, Mason Cole, Mrs Turnbull, Caleb Austin, Louis Page, Fletcher Page, Tristan Jones and Jaxon Austin-Burns win the under 16s premiership.
Congratulations go out to the team, coached by Dan Negus.
The under 13s grand final was relocated to West Northam Primary.
Overnight rain delayed play by half an hour.
Northam batted first and made a respectable 4 for 92 at the first innings change.
St Josephs made a solid start to the chase and runs continued to flow freely throughout the innings.
All top order batsmen contributed and Northam found wickets hard to come by and at the innings close St Joe’s were 1 for 126.
Northam made a steady start to the second innings but wickets fell regularly and despite a final last wicket blast were dismissed with St Joe’s needing just 26 runs in the second innings.
With rain threatening, the St Joe’s boys chased down the runs with 7 overs to spare and plenty of wickets in hand.

Presentations were held at Bert Hawke Pavilion with successful teams winning the John Lucas Shield and Kevin Watson Shield.

The Northam Junior Cricket Association would like to thank all players, parents, scorers, umpires, coaches, supporters and sponsors for a successful season.
The AGM will be held at 7pm on September 2 at the Commercial Hotel in Northam and all parents are welcome to attend as all positions are open.
