AN 18 YEAR-OLD Seville Grove man has been charged with a series of offences after evading police.
At about 1.30pm on February 16, a stolen Holden Commodore sedan was observed travelling south on Scott Road in Koongamia.
It is alleged the vehicle failed to stop for police and continued through the suburbs of Helena Valley, Maida Vale and Forrestfield before heading east through the hills and finally south through Canning Mills.
A police fixed-wing aircraft maintained observation of the vehicle and directed officers on the ground.
Police were able to intercept the vehicle on Great Southern Highway between Beverley and York.
The 18 year-old man has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, failing to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
He was set to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on February 17.
A 14 year-old Katanning boy has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and was also scheduled to appear in the Perth Children’s Court on February 17.
