THE CBH Group has partnered with FORM to bring two internationally renowned urban artists to the Wheatbelt to paint the Avon silos as part of a statewide public art project.
Eight of the 16 silos at the CBH Avon site will be painted as part of the PUBLIC Art in the Wheatbelt project.
CBH group chief executive Andy Crane said it was excited to bring international art to the Wheatbelt for the first time, through the partnership with FORM.
"We are proud to be a part of this unique project, using CBH silos as a canvas for a large-scale art project," Dr Crane said.
"Artist's Phlegm from the UK and Hense from the USA will be in the region late next month, completing their work over a two-week period.
American artist Alex Brewer works under the name Hense and is known for his bright, playful works while London-based artist Phlegm's paintings are intricate and detailed.
FORM is a not-for -profit cultural organisation.
FORM last year facilitated a program, called PUBLIC, when walls and laneways around the Perth central business district were painted by some of the world's best known street artists.
"Last year we saw PUBLIC transform blank walls in Wolf Lane, Murray Street and William Street, the Perth CBD and Northbridge into an outdoor gallery," Dr Crane said.
"We are looking forward to being able to help expand that work into the Wheatbelt this year.
"BHP has sponsored a similar project in the Pilbara but this is the first time we have seen anything such as this in the Wheatbelt.
"This sponsorship aims to play a key role in the delivery of world-class art to the region while contributing to tourism in the Wheatbelt."
