WEST Northam Primary School held its end-of-year school presentation on December 11 with their 'evening on the green'.
Conducted on the school oval, the West Northam Choir began proceedings, followed by a performance by the Drumbeat crew.
West Northam Primary School principal Suzanne Pekin then gave her address, calling it a fantastic and intense year.
Two events singled out by Ms Pekin included their NAPLAN results, with green lights in all areas for the first time in the school's history.
The other was their Noongar storytelling day where students wrote down and translated traditional stories.
The stories will be made into a picture book to be completed next year.
"Every year I have been at this school community involvement has increased," Ms Pekin said.
"Staff are dedicated and professional, going all the way to ensure the best for students."
Student councillors were praised on their efforts for the year, with Ms Pekin saying they all stepped into their roles effortlessly.
Looking ahead to the future, Ms Pekin reflected next year would be a significant year.
"Given year 7 students will be moving to secondary school next year, there will be significantly less students at our school," Ms Pekin said.
The school will also be without Ms Pekin, with her announcing her departure to all parents, students and staff in attendance.
"I have had an amazing three years at West Northam I have to go to Perth to be with my family," Ms Pekin said.
"This school has been a source of inspiration and I will never find a school as unique as this one.
"I say that with all sincerity."
