Northam theatre patrons have once again supported the Theatre Group for its last musical production this year, and were rewarded with an obviously well rehearsed cast, wanting to entertain, and to have fun themselves.
Both character acting, and confident singing from the new, young, talented and committed actors and actresses who gave audiences such an excellent show as the Fifties, means we can expect some exciting theatre in 2015.
The music, the rock n' roll and the Beatniks brought back youthful memories for many audience members.
The atmosphere in the Link was exciting and colourful, due to the many excellent performances by individual characters and members of the chorus.
The harmony songs hit the right note with rounds of applause from the near-full houses.
The dancing routines were evidence of the hours of practice and effort put in by the 22 cast members.
On display in the foyer of the theatre were photographs showing the retractable seating the group plans to install in the auditorium
Fundraising is progressing, but offers of sponsorship and/or donations are welcome.
The committee is working hard to secure grants and has set its sights on having the project completed early next year.
The Theatre Group thanks all those who have been a part of this year's audiences and looks forward to continued support.
