TWELVE seniors took off last week on a mystery tour.
The group began their tour with a quick morning coffee at Toodyay before visiting an orchard in Bindoon.
On arrival they were greeted by the owner Bruce, who organised a ride on the tractor-pulled trailer for an inspection of the orange grove and vineyard.
Bruce gave an informative talk on the Valencia oranges that are currently being picked and the pruning methods and tree care as well as a tour of the vineyard.
Afterwards the group was given a tour of the packing shed where the oranges were mechanical graded, cleaned, waxed and packed for the market.
After a tasty lunch at the Bindoon Bakery it was off to the Museum and Arts and Crafts centre, where the party enjoyed an exhibition of craft work and were able to purchase gifts.
The final stop was back at Toodyay, where the group visited the Christmas shop and climbed back on the bus with more bundles of shopping.
On arrival back at Tammin three cheers were given for Caroline Bradley, who kindly drove the bus for the day's outing.
Thanks were given to Joan Button for the organization.
