NORTHAM RSL held its Remembrance Day ceremony last Tuesday morning to honour those who have fallen in service of Australia.
The welcome address was given by Northam RSL president Donna Prytulak.
Earlier in the day, a service was conducted at Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre.
"A service was also conducted at Bethavon on November 10," Ms Prytulak said.
She spoke about Beth avon resident Myrtle Hunter, the oldest person in the Avon Valley at 107 years old, who was seven years old at the outbreak of World War I.
The address was given by Northam RSL's Terry Dyer.
He spoke about the significance of the unknown soldier and the ultimate sacrifice Australians have made on frontlines.
"Also to those who returned home to face new battles and an uncertain future," Mr Dyer said.
A wreath laying ceremony was conducted, with The Last Post then performed by Luis Lim.
After a one-minute silence, the ode was read by Northam RSL's Jill Scarterfield.
The national anthem was sung to conclude the service, with members of the public then placing poppies in memory of those who served or died in conflicts.
