THE 27th Rotary Radiowest Auction was held October 25.
It ran from 9am-3pm inside the Northam Boulevard with face painters and balloon twisters providing entertainment.
The project has been operating for more than two decades with the Rotary Club, businesses, sponsors and the community coming together to raise money for local projects.
Greg Verlinden said $10,904 had been raised as of Monday.
About $11,000 was raised last year.
"There weren't any phone lines until 11am," Mr Verlinden said.
"It's one of those things that happens, however Doug Lloyd and Ross Siddons fixed the problem without any hassle, so thanks must go to them."
Mr Verlinden also thanked presenter Bryan French for helping the auction meet their target.
"Frenchy and Julie in the studio offered to go another hour, to 3pm, to make up for the time lost when the phones went out," Mr Verlinden said.
Rotarian Jan Horsely said there was a good roll-up of Rotarians on hand to help out on the day.
"We will invite submissions from around the shire who require funds such as youth groups, aged care and support for single or sporting groups," she said.
"I would like to thank all sponsors for allowing the auction to happen, particularly The Avon Valley Advocate, Radio West, Country Copiers and the Northam Boulevard," she said.
Printing of the 2500 auction brochures was completed by Country Copiers and they were distributed to Shire of Northam letterboxes before the start of the auction.
Lots were advertised in The Avon Valley Advocate and are available for collection from Stewarts Savemore Pharmacy until December 12.
