NORTHAM Police officer-in-charge Ron Daniels says police experienced a fairly quiet week after raids recently conducted in Grass Valley.
"Last Saturday there was a burglary in Northam which saw a packet of laundry powder stolen and a separate theft of a container of ice coffee," Mr Daniels said.
"There was also stealing from an Atkinson Street property with wine, beer and soft drinks taken."
Other offences included $1100 in cash being stolen from the train station by an East Perth man who has since been charged, the discovery of a smoking pipe after a car was stopped in Peel Terrace last Friday night and a window smashing on Gairdner Street last Friday evening.
Operation Dustoff, which concludes at the end of this month, continues to be a success.
"There has been another charge, this time in Jenapullin," Mr Daniels said.
"Ammunition was not stored separately and ammunition was stored in magazines."
Mr Daniels said the majority of people were responsible, but people had also been found wanting in relation to gun safety.
"Without a doubt we will do something extra with Operation Dustoff in the not too distant future," Mr Daniels said.
"To satisfy ourselves and to make sure people are meeting the requirements."
